Built before smartphones, hashtags, and reality reno shows and still turning heads.

This custom home in Furry Creek, BC, overlooking Howe Sound, was completed in 1996 using a West Coast Douglas Fir timber-frame paired with Eastern White Pine log walls. The combination of locally sourced structural timber and Eastern character logs was rare then — and still sets a high bar for hybrid construction today.

Nearly 30 years on, the design holds up: soaring geometry, precision joinery, and a connection to the landscape that feels more relevant than ever. This project is proof that when form follows integrity, time becomes irrelevant.
